Founded in 1980, Whickham Fellside Youth Football Club provides the opportunity for the youth in our area to participate in football from the age ranges of Under-7 to Under-21; also including Girls and Women's Football Teams. We currently enter 23 teams in local leagues, the largest number of teams for any Youth Football Club in Gateshead. We are based at Watergate in Lobley Hill (behind Emmanuel College) where our 11-a-side home games are played.
We are an entirely voluntary-run group, obtaining our funding through annual subscriptions, fundraising events, granting agencies and sponsorship. All our Coaches are encouraged to reach the Level 1 FA qualification and are registered under Child Protection Policy to provide a safe and secure environment for our members.
We carry out Annual Football Trials at Watergate every summer; we are an extremely well organised and structured football club.
