Who we are

Whickham and District Motor Club was established in 1963 and has been one of the North East's largest and most involved motor clubs in the rallying scene for over 40 years.

There aren't many events in the North of England and Scotland where you won't find members of WDMC either competing, organising, marshalling or assisting in some way or another. WDMC has some of the North East's most respected and challenging events under its belt since rallying started in the region. Having hosted a number of events over the years the club now concentrates its efforts to offer some of the country's most demanding and fastest sealed surface and forest stages on offer in the region.

Where we meet

Whickham and District Motor Club meet every Wednesday evening from around 8:00pm at the Kibblesworth Workmen's Club, a local village venue offering a friendly welcome and extremely reasonable prices to all our members.

What we do

A Wednesday evening at WDMC isn't just about meeting up for a drink and a chat - or a 'Noggin and Natter', we try to have something happening at the Club each time we meet. That could be anything from watching DVDs of Motorsport, a Quiz, 'First On Scene' (First Aid) training, Motorabilia Auctions, Tabletop Rallies, Telephone Rallies, PlayStation nights, sometimes just a drink and a chat, or anything else we feel can add a bit of light interest to the evening. There's always somebody that will talk to you and we're always looking for new people to join in and share the enjoyment of cars and Motorsport with us. Please do come along and join us, we'll certainly do everything we can to make you feel welcome.

And it's not just Wednesday nights that make Whickham and District Motor Club what it is - there are a huge number of other events that we do showing that WDMC is one of the most active Motor Clubs in the North East. Whether it's Rallying or Autotests, members of WDMC will be out and about doing their best to promote the spirit of Motorsport in the area no matter what.

How To Get Involved

We're always looking for new people to share the enjoyment of cars and Motorsport with us. Please do come along to the Kibblesworth Workmen's Club - we meet every Wednesday evening from around 8:00pm. You'll be made to feel welcome and there's always somebody on hand that will talk to you.
