Whickham Coachman Football Club

The Whickham Coachman Football Club was founded in 1968. It is a senior players club which played in the Derwent Valley Sunday league until 1983, when the league was disbanded.

The Club then joined the Tyneside Sunday Football League in 1984 and are currently in Division 1 of this League.

Games are on a Sunday morning and kick Off is at 10.30 a.m. Home games are played at Axwell Park, Blaydon, in the grounds of Axwell Hall off the A694 Rowlands Gill Road about half a mile from the Swalwell Roundabout - look for the Axwell Hall sign.

Fixtures are on display in the bar of The Coachmans public House on Burnthouse lane in Whickham and the league has a web site at www.tssfl.org.uk.

How To Get Involved

Come along to one of the home games on a Sunday morning in the grounds of Axwell Hall, or pop into The Coachman public house after the game between 12.30 and 13.00 hrs - in the bar where there will be members of the committee and players in attendance.
